IPVanish offers two VPN plans — Essential and Advanced — starting at $2.49/month on the 2-year term. Both plans come in monthly, yearly, and 2-year billing options, and intro rates renew at $99.99/year (Essential) or $129.99/year (Advanced).
IPVanish costs between $2.49 and $17.99 per month with 2 plans: Essential at $2.49/mo (2-year term), Advanced at $3.59/mo (2-year term).
Both plans come in monthly, yearly, and 2-year billing options. Here's a closer look at each.
Essential
Price: $14.99/month, or $3.89/month billed yearly ($46.68 for the first year), or $2.49/month billed every 2 years ($59.76 for the first two years)
Best For: Budget-conscious users who want fast VPN protection on every device they own
Refund Policy: 30-day money-back guarantee on Yearly and 2-Year terms
Other Features:
- Global high-speed VPN with unlimited bandwidth
- Threat Protection and a 3GB eSIM data bonus
- Unlimited simultaneous device connections
- Verified no-logs privacy and 24/7 live chat support
Essential is the straightforward pick if you mainly want a private VPN without extras. It covers unlimited devices, so your whole household can share one account. Just keep in mind the intro rate is temporary — both the yearly and 2-year versions renew at $99.99 per year after the first term ends.
Advanced
Price: $17.99/month, or $5.39/month billed yearly ($64.68 for the first year), or $3.59/month billed every 2 years ($86.16 for the first two years)
Best For: People who want their VPN bundled with cloud storage and stronger malware blocking
Refund Policy: 30-day money-back guarantee on Yearly and 2-Year terms
Other Features:
- Everything in Essential, plus Threat Protection Pro
- 1TB of encrypted cloud storage
- Secure Browser™ for disposable, malware-free browsing sessions
- Phone support and 5GB total eSIM data
Advanced makes sense if you'd actually use the add-ons. The 1TB cloud storage and Secure Browser give you tools beyond the VPN itself, and phone support is a nice bonus. If you only need core VPN protection, Essential will save you money — and note that this tier renews at $129.99 per year once the intro term is over.
One thing to check before checkout: 2-year plans switch to yearly billing after the first term, so confirm the renewal price for whichever term you choose.
To wrap up, there's no free plan here, but IPVanish does offer a free trial on iOS and Android if you want to test the apps first. If you'd rather commit, every Yearly and 2-Year subscription is backed by a 30-day money-back guarantee with a 100% refund — no questions asked. Monthly plans are the most flexible since you can cancel anytime, though they don't come with the refund offer.
